Punkin smasher takes about 3 or 4 hours,
and is a mixed boulder, waterfall trail. it can be done west to east
with open diffs and some lift, or east to west with lockers, gears,
aggrsive tires, ect.
It starts about 6 or 7 miles southwest
the shell station, the first 2 or so is pavement, the rest is well maintained
dirt road to the trailhead

How to Get There:
Punkin smasher--from the shell
station head west on main st. at end of main, turn left over freeway,
turn right at stop sign (dome rock road). a mile or so down it will
force you to turn left. follow until pavement ends. continue straight
on gravel road, go left at first Y, right at your next Y. watch for
major wash on left, when road drops into it, you are on the west end
of punkin smasher. turn left into wash to run it west to east. (i dont
know how to give directions to run it east to west, you have to turn
on one of the meny side roads that all look alike to get there)
