Broken Arrow is a fun trail with great scenery. A stock 4x4 can make this run and there are areas for those with built rigs to test and flex their suspension, such as the Crack. Pay attention to the signs, as part of this trail is a one-way loop. A lot of Pink Jeeps share the trail so please put your best foot forward while representing our sport. For many of the passengers on those Jeep tours, you are the first real off-roader they have ever seen. You will find that most of the pink drivers are pretty cool! The Devil's Staircase is fun, and some members have been known to run it bottom-to-top. If you do, please post a look-out at the top to prevent someone from coming down while you are trying to go up. It usually takes a couple of hours to make the loop, which allows ample time for pictures and a stop at Chicken Point for lunch. If you plan to hike or walk around much, you may want to purchase a Red Rock Pass. You can preorder them here: Red Rock Pass Remember to Tread lightly! |
| How to Get There: |
| Go North from Phoenix on I-17 and take Exit 298 (Highway 179 to Sedona). Follow Highway 179 North towards Sedona. You will pass through Oak Creek. Continue on Highway 179. Approximately 13 miles from leaving the interstate, look for a tar road on your right with a Broken Arrow sign pointing the way to the trail. The trail really starts about a 1/4 mile down the road after you weave your way through a small residential area. |
