| Description: |
|
The trail through Box Canyon is relatively easy, generally rated as a 2.5 3.0. The most difficult part of the trail is less than two miles in length. The trail is narrow in places and has a number of large rocks to traverse that can cause trouble for stock and low clearance vehicles, as well as trucks. We have seen all kinds of vehicles pass through the canyon, so it is generally a matter of adequate clearance combined with sufficient off-road driving experience. It is strongly advised that vehicles using this trail have skidplates to protect gas tanks and oil pans. It should also be noted that the canyon is very narrow in places, which can create problems with multiple vehicles travelling in different directions. Please use caution and show courtesy to others passing through. Remember to Tread lightly! |
