Challenging four wheel drive route, has great historical tour.
most of the trail is easy to moderate, however there several difficult places that will challenge stock vehicles. The has gotten worse over the past few years, especially the steepest last 4 miles. Erosion has exposed rough rocks and deep ruts have formed. Aggessive stock vehicles with good articulation can get up this trail but they may need to stack rocks and use a tow strap in some
34.4 miles, takes 4-5 hours but plan for more time on the weekends.
